Concept & Reference
Designed for high-impact brand environments, this extended grotesque typeface merges the structural rigor of Akzidenz Grotesk with the weight and presence of early wood types. The result is a typographic voice that feels assertive yet disciplined.Â

The compressed counterforms inherent to the extended width demanded precise control of stroke contrast and rhythm. Particular attention was given to vertical–horizontal modulation to ensure legibility at scale, even in heavy weights.Â
Scope: Font Design, Print
Development began with the Regular weight; core forms and spacing were established to define the system’s structure. Light and Bold styles followed to test contrast and consistency across weights. Character set expanded to include numerals, punctuation, and stylistic features such as inktraps. Spacing and kerning were refined through printed proofs; each iteration was reviewed manually, annotated, and organized to track revisions and ensure visual coherence.
